Support for Cooper Bennett & his family during his recovery
Waikato
On 7 January, Cooper was in a serious life-threatening car crash that instantly changed his world, and those close to him. He sustained critical injuries that mean he can't walk at the moment, but we have no doubt he will in the future with everyone's continued love, support, intense rehabilitation and his fierce determination.
The next stop after Waikato Hospital is a spinal unit (Auckland or Christchurch), which is a bit further than home for Cooper's Pāuanui based family. Jo and Dave will be with him as much as possible; we know how important having your number one cheerleaders close is during a recovery like this.
Coops is a kind-hearted, funny, quick-witted, cheeky, generous, strong, determined and resilient son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and mate.
We want to help support him and his family in any way possible, with anything that they might need during his recovery journey.
Cooper is my cousin
