Financial support for Nicole and Ryan so they can focus on being there for Harper as she fights the many health issues she is faced with.
Manawatu / Whanganui
On the 26th of April 2021 at 5.34am Nicole and Ryan welcomed the very early arrival of their premature baby girl, Harper May Eder.
Only days before Harper's arrival Nicole was flown to Wellington Hospital and in the early hours of the 26th of April Harper was born via emergency cesarean. Harper was born 14 weeks early and weighed only 810g. In the first 2 weeks doctors were unsure if Harper was going to survive as she was septic due to bacterial meningitis. Harper is a fighter and is now 5 weeks old but she is still battling a lot.
The main current health issues Harper is faced with includes bacterial meningitis, an open duct in her heart, a small brain bleed, low thyroid levels and lung problems. Harper will be in hospital until around her due date (31st of July) but this time may also be extended. Once Harper is stable enough she will be transferred to Palmerston North Hospital. Unfortunately Harper's health has not improved enough for her to be transferred yet and is likely to remain in Wellington NICU for longer than first hoped.
Nicole and Ryan are already 37 days into Harper's NICU Journey - it's been 40 days since Nicole was flown to Wellington. Nicole is staying at the Ronald McDonald House while Harper is in the Wellington NICU and Ryan is back in Feilding with their 18 month old daughter Addison. Due to their current situation Nicole has had to close her business and Ryan has had decrease the hours he works. At this stage the doctors are unable to tell Nicole and Ryan what their future with Harper will look like and how long they could be in hospital for. I have made this page to help at least take the financial stress off them as I want them to be able to be there for both Harper and Addison without having to worry and stress about costs.
I'm Sheryl, Harper's Nana. - Nicole's Mum.
Funds raised will be used for travel costs, bills, food and any other unforeseen costs in the future. Funds will also be used for any treatment or care that Harper may need in the future.

A true angel and blessing too precious for Earth 👼
It is with so much sorrow that Ryan, myself and Addison let you all know our beautiful little girl Harper passed away very peacefully on 19th June, in Palmerston North surrounded by so much love from family.
Our little girl was very eager to enter this world and did so arriving 14 weeks early!! She battled a lot and we had thought she had won the fight but sadly what she was up against was much bigger than anyone had imagined. Harper’s health deteriorated very quickly and her fight finally came to an end at 2.15pm today.
We feel so lucky we got to meet Harper and spend almost 8 weeks with her. She touched a lot of people in her short time and she has made such a huge impact on our lives.
We are deeply saddened with Harper’s passing but we are also at ease knowing she is now at peace. The memories we got to make with Harper including 3 plane rides, giving her her first bath and having loads of cuddles are memories we will cherish forever.
Harper had a private cremation on Tuesday 22nd June and she has now come home to be with us forever.
Harper darling, your Mummy, Daddy and Big Sister all love you very much and you will be so missed.
Fly high our beautiful little angel 👼
We love you ❤️
