Jhufel's brother, Darwin, came to visit him at our house. It's been two years that they haven't seen each other. As per Jhufel's occupational therapist, this visit is good for Jhufel's recovery, as it will make him get motivated to become better.

Jhufel's vital signs have been stable since he came home 3 months ago. Thank God. But he is now due for general checkup and for his tracheostomy tube to be changed. He needs to be hospitalized for these procedures. Since these procedures cost, I am once again knocking on your generous hearts to give what you can to help. Thank you, and may God bless you.

  • Ongoing Recovery

Jhufel has been on a residential care since he came back from New Zealand to the Philippines exactly two months ago. So far, his condition is stable and he is slowly making progress. It's the family who is personally taking care of him, even though the care is not as good as when he is in the hospital. The family wants to save since maintaining his medicine and other needs will cost it at least $3,000 per month, not including the payment for the therapists and the doctors who come for home service. The family is nowhere to get this much money as the wife cannot go to work as she takes care of the husband. So, it's once again knocking on your generous hearts to help Jhufel's medical expenses. Thank you, and God bless.

Jhufel, together with his wife, was successfully repatriated to the Philippines on the 4th of September. Jhufel was brought to St. Luke's Medical Center upon their arrival in Manila. He and his wife had to undergo 9 days mandatory quarantine before they could leave for their home province in Bohol. Right now, he is recovering at home with the care of his wife and kids. It will still take months or years for him to recover, and so the family asks for your continued prayers for him and for your financial support for his medication and other medical needs. Thank you, and may God bless you always.
