Support for Kevin and Glenda Young
Whatever is needed to help the family financially so they can focus on the wellbeing of Kevin and themselves through this hard time.

Most, if not all of you in our small community will know Kevin and Glenda Young and their 3 children Isaac, Lloyd and Yvette. Kevin has been a local painter in the community, and Glenda has been our loverly, wonderful local dental nurse for many many years.
On 28th December 2019 Kevin had a subarachnoid haemorrhage. He was flown to Wellington Hospital where he had surgery and as such is in ICU.
He is making slight improvements but the process ahead is going to be a long road including ongoing treatment and appointments.

Glenda and Kevin are well known in our community. Kevin was a local painter and Glenda has been the community dental nurse for many years.
Use of funds
The money raised will help the family with travel and expenses whilst Kevin is in Wellington Hospital's ICU. Followed by equipment, travel and treatments for Kevin in his future rehabilitation and care.
Latest update
Bit of a setback but on the mend again 🤞 31 January 2020
Kevin is now out of ICU and in the neuro patients ward in Wellington hospital where he is currently fighting a chest infection. When he is strong enough he will be transferred to Palmerston North hospital where he will begin his extensive rehabilitation to get back to every day life. The kids came back from Oz to see their dad a couple weeks ago and Yvette has stayed on to support mum and dad.
