Support for Marlz, Hailee, and Charlee after Marlz undergoing brain surgery and the girls losing their beautiful mum 💜
Timaru, Canterbury
Marly (Marlz) and his two daughters, Hailee (10) and Charlee (8), have been on a roller coaster of emotions, trauma, grief, and anxiety since February 2026.
Marlz experienced some medical issues which saw him being rushed to Christchurch hospital where he underwent urgent life saving brain surgery and had to stay for several weeks to recover.
His partner at the time, and the girls mum, Chloe, supported him by his bedside as he recovered and started to feel better. It was a long couple of months of recovery, appointments, and travelling which all made a tough financial impact on the family as it meant Marly, a successful business owner at the time, was out of a job for the foreseeable future.
Whilst Marlz was recovering, Chloe’s mental health started to rapidly decline. Unfortunately, Chloe passed away on Friday 5th of June leaving behind her beloved children, family, friends, and Max their dog.
Marly, Hailee, and Charlee have been through one of the most heartbreaking, painful times imaginable. Marly has been a rock and the biggest support to the girls to ensure they feel safe and loved.
And to top it all off, Marly and the girls will be moving house shortly which adds extra anxiety and financial strain to the already stressful situation for the girls.
More now than ever they need some support, kind words, and love to help them through this awful time. I know they would gratefully appreciate any donations, words of support, and prayers for Chloe 💜💜💜
I am a close family friend who has supported and helped them in many ways throughout the past 5 months. Charlee and my daughter are best friends at school which is how I met the family and became friends with them.
Any donations received will go towards anything to help them get through this hard time - bill payments, new furniture for their home, memorial costs for Chloe, a small holiday to bring some happiness, food, etc.
