Help make Mike and Tania's cancer journey easier by taking away some of the stress of weekly bills whilst Mike is unable to work.
Beachlands, Auckland
Please help this very deserving family by donating towards the costs associated with receiving intensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Mike is a small business owner and the main income for the family.
Mike and Tania are two of the best humans you will ever meet. They are always doing things for others, even when they have a lot going on themselves. They are the last people to ask for help but we would love to make their cancer journey easier by taking away some of the stress of weekly bills whilst Mike is unable to work.
They are amazing supporters of our community, their generosity and kindness extends beyond their friends and family to anyone who needs a hand. Tania is a key member of our Coastal treasures family and is constantly looking out for people in our community and beyond who need a helping hand. Mike is an ex-fireman always ready to lend a hand and get involved with the community. You may recognize him and his digger (Digginit.co.nz) working and helping around the community or dressing up as Santa at the Santa parade.
Mike recently underwent two large surgeries to remove a cancer at the base of the tongue and some lymph nodes and is now going through daily radiation and weekly chemotherapy.
The money will go towards petrol, hospital parking, food and bills whilst he is having treatment and is unable to work.
Tania is a great friend
Although the length of recovery and time till Mike is well enough to work is not clear we expect him to be off work for at least six months so money will go towards treatment related expenses and general bills.
Mike completes his treatment 26 March 2024
Mike has now completed all his treatment. It has gone really well and I think this is testament to Mike and Tania's positive attitude and determination to beat the cancer. Mike continues to build up his appetite and strength. He has worked really hard to maintain some fitness and is determined to get out there and try some small short jobs in the local community to help him get back to doing the job he loves.
I just wanted to thank you for your love and support for Tania and Mike, it came at a really low point for them both and it has really helped to boost them. I know they are both very grateful and humbled by everyone's generosity.
I will be closing down the page now but continue to pray for Mike's recovery and return to full health.
