A fundraising page to support our whanaunga Kim
Hokianga Harbour, Northland
Our beloved whanaunga, Kim, has been diagnosed with peritoneal mesothelioma, a rare and aggressive cancer. After spending six years in Auckland, Kim has returned home to reconnect with her whenua, whānau, and wairua to seek healing in her way.
Unfortunately, the current healthcare system in Aotearoa doesn’t always support or fund alternative healing pathways. Like many others, Kim faces the heartbreaking reality that the care she believes in and that aligns with her values is not accessible through the public health system.
We are fundraising to:
Support Kim in accessing the healing she believes in
Relieve financial pressure so she can focus on her wellbeing
Help create a comfortable, peaceful environment for her healing journey
Support any travel, rongoā Māori, holistic treatments, and daily living costs
This kōrero isn’t just about treatment — it’s about dignity, choice, and the right to walk this journey in a way that honours who Kim is.
If you feel moved to koha, every contribution, no matter the size, brings Kim closer to the healing she deserves.
With deep gratitude
