Supporting Parisa and her son Yasin after the sudden loss of her husband, Mojtaba.
Auckland
Parisa is a deeply valued member of our school whānau at Te Uru Karaka Newton Central School. As a kind, calm, and dedicated kaiawhina (teacher aide), she works closely with some of our tamariki who are most in need of support, always bringing patience, aroha, and quiet strength to her role. Beyond this, Parisa is also a trained accountant and a passionate advocate for neurodiverse ākonga.
Tragically, Parisa’s beloved husband, Mojtaba, has just passed away after suffering a heart attack. This sudden loss has left Parisa and her son Yasin facing a future of deep uncertainty.
Parisa and Yasin have no family in Aotearoa, but the care of our school community surrounds them, and they are also receiving support from the Iranian community here in Tāmaki Makaurau. Both have been important sources of strength and comfort during this incredibly difficult time.
At a time when Parisa has always been there for others, we now have the opportunity to awhi her and offer the support she needs. We’ve created this page so our community and beyond can help ease the financial and emotional strain as she navigates this loss and rebuilds a sense of stability for herself and Yasin.
Every little bit counts, whether it’s a koha, a kind message, or simply sharing this page with others.
Let’s wrap around Parisa and Yasin with the same care and compassion Parisa shows every day.
Ngā mihi nui
The Te Uru Karaka Newton Central School Community
Parisa is a Kaiawhina (teacher aide) in my team and a valued colleague at Te Uru Karaka Newton Central School.
All funds will go directly to Parisa to help with funeral costs and to ease financial stress during this difficult time, so she can focus on caring for herself and Yasin without added worry.
He aha te mea nui o te ao? 10 August 2025
A huge thank you from the TUKNCS community for your generous donations to Parisa and Yasin.
Your kindness has deeply moved Parisa and given her support at a time when she needs it most.
We were truly blown away by the response. We could never have anticipated the way the Iranian and TUKNCS communities came together in such strength and unity.
He aha te mea nui o te ao? He tāngata, he tāngata, he tāngata.
