Support for Reed Family during cancer treatment
Palmerston North, Manawatu-Wanganui
Earlier this month, our dear friend Shane Reed and his family were devastated to learn that an aggressive tumour had been found on his brain. Shane is at home now recovering from urgent surgery and awaiting news about any forthcoming treatment. Shane is well supported by his wife Tammy, their children Lucas (16) and Dylan (11), and their close family and friends.
As professional sports coaches, both Shane and Tammy’s livelihood is hard hit by this illness, with Shane being unable (for now) to continue his passion as a head coach at Kiwi West Aquatics swim club. Tammy has also had to sacrifice national coaching appointments and scholarships as an elite triathlon coach to provide full attention where it is needed with Shane.
While having to place their own lives and careers on hold to deal with this emergency, those of us who know and love the Reed family have found ourselves searching for ways to want to assist this proud family in the most effective way that we can.
By requesting donations from you, our goal is to provide some measure of financial assistance to the Reeds, for them to use to alleviate some of the stress they are facing right now. This may include using donations for daily expenses or treatment costs, or simply to allow the Reeds to spend some more quality time together as a family!
Any donation, big or small, will be warmly appreciated.
Thank you very much
