I've been asked by the Reeds to close this page that has been a HUGE support to them whilst navigating the big "C". They are very appreciative for what you've done to support them over these last 5 months! The Reed's will crack on with life as they now know it. Privacy, love, work, friends and respect are super important to them. Much love to you all and thank you so much again for your unwavering support.
As promised, we are sharing a few moments of the Reeds holiday up North! The weather wasn't that flash, but a lot of great memories were made! Beaches, ancient trees, a bird sanctuary and fun family time together. Next week they enter into the second round of Chemo. Thank you again for your continued support, love and friendship it truely means a lot.
Hello friends and family of the Reeds, Shane is doing really well and has been able to enjoy some of the things he loves doing the most like swimming, he swam 500m in one session! He's been out for a short bike ride, mowed the lawns and played a bit of B-Ball with the boys. His treatment is going well and the Reeds are enjoying family time together. Thank you again for your continued support, Tammy, Shane and the boys really do appreciate everything you're doing for them. Keep tuned for the next update.
Tammy and Shane wanted to share a few things about what’s been happening lately, and also want to say a HUGE thank you to each and every one of you who has supported them they are most appreciative of your kindness.
Shanes treatment is underway, into week two of Chemo and Radiation which has gone well. Since the start of treatment here’s a few little achievements gained – which to a lot of us shouldn’t be surprising because we are talking about superman Shane here! As we know he takes everything in his stride!
Shane’s treatment allows him to be at home most of the time, with a short visit to the hospital for radiation daily, this is great news for Tammy and the boys because Shane is able to do the dishes at home!
Took Shane fishing last week. Caught 5 snapper and 20 dolphins followed us.
Each day gaining a little more independence, and walked around the block! Also walked to radiation from the car.
Tam, Shane and the boys have a booked a NZ holiday together – this part is secret, you’ll have to wait for more photos!
Thank you again to all of you, friends, family, athletes, colleagues, neighbours and guests and everyone who have contributed to the Reed family, your time, effort thoughtfulness and kindness really is making a difference – Thank you.
