Support for Shantel
Gisborne
Shantel needs your help.
On the 15th of December Shantel had an accident in the commercial kitchen where she works. This has left her with serious burns to 50% of her body, including her face. She was flown from Gisborne to Middlemore Hospital in Auckland. She is undergoing treatment there for an extended period of time with the hope she will be able to be moved to Waikato Hospital and be closer to home and family. Her road to recovery will be a lengthy one both physically and mentally.
Shantel is a wife, a mother a sister, and an aunty. Her husband Tony is currently by her side supporting her. Shantel’s mum passed away a few years ago and her father is based overseas so Tony is her primary support in this journey.
Help from you will enable Tony to continue to be by her side as well as cover all the extra expenses that ACC doesn’t.
Currently she is still in ICU and can not receive gifts. It is requested that anyone who wants to send gifts or to support her and her family during recovery, to please support this give-a-little in lieu of gifts.
Nga Mihi.
