Supporting Tekanimaeu Arobati’s wife and children following his recent passing in the Mahurangi River.
Warkworth, Auckland
Last week, the Warkworth and Mahurangi community lost Tekanimaeu Arobati, a husband, father, and valued member of the community.
Tekanimaeu was originally from Kiribati and had moved to New Zealand with his wife and four children to build a stable future for his family. While travelling to work during severe weather, he was swept into the Mahurangi River and sadly passed away.
This Givealittle page has been created to support his family during an incredibly difficult time. The loss of a loved one brings both emotional and practical challenges, particularly for a family living far from home and adjusting to life in a new country.
All funds raised will go directly to supporting Tekanimaeu’s wife Tirutinia and children, helping to ease immediate pressures so they can focus on caring for one another and beginning to heal.
ACC may be available but the family has not started this process.
Any contribution, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page to help support the family.
I am a member of the local community supporting the family by helping to coordinate practical assistance during this time.
Funds will support Tekanimaeu’s family with funeral costs, immediate living costs, essential expenses, and family needs during this time. Any remaining funds will continue to support the family as they adjust in the months ahead.
