Support a beautiful family as they greive for two loved ones who have died in a tragic crash and two others remain in critical care.

Canterbury

On Friday the 5th April my dear friends Aisi and Junior tragically lost their 12 year old son along with his uncle is a serious crash involving a truck. Their two nephews remain in critical care and have recently been transferred to starship hospital, where they continue to fight for their lives. Aisi’s family had all come together to celebrate a special birthday this weekend and are now having to deal with this tragedy. Money raised will go towards financially supporting the family and releive some finacial pressures as they greive over their lost ones.

My dear friend Aisi and her family have tragically lost two members of their family in a serious crash on Friday. Two four year old boys continue to fight for their lives in starship hospital. These funds will help releive some financial pressure to all tragically involved during this difficult time.

Use of funds

Money raised will go towards financially supporting the family and relieve some financial pressures as they grieve over their lost ones. It will go directly to the family involved and help with funeral costs and other expenses to relieve any financial pressure so Aisi and her family can focus on being together and supporting each other through this difficult time. ACC will provide some finacial support to the family.

How the family are doing now  23 April 2019

On Thursday the 4th April, a 70th birthday brought together many members of the Tanielu family from all over the country. Junior and Aisi Loua and their children flew in from Auckland and gathered at the parents house for a late dinner. Around midnight, Aisi's sister Sefulu and her husband Fulumoa Daly took their son Zion (4), Aisi's son Ezekial Loua (12), and another nephew Zachariah Fuata'i (4) to stay at their house. Travelling home, a truck collided with the car having devastating consequences for the family. https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/crime/111847180/uncle-dies-in-crash-alongside-nephew-after-truck-driver-allegedly-runs-red-light

Fulumoa Daly and his nephew Ezekial Loua sadly passed away at the scene. Sefulu ended up in hospital with chest injuries, and the two little boys were rushed to intensive care in Christchurch Hospital. Sefulu was discharged the next day but Zion and Zachariah were fighting for their lives. With swelling to the brain, both boys had intensive surgery to their skulls and were transferred to Starship Hospital.

In what was meant for a week of celebration, ended in a time of mourning and heartache. This beautiful family have all endured so much and buried their loved ones too early.

In the weeks that followed they never ceased praising God for their blessings or giving thanks for the miraculous surgeries of Zion and Zachariah. The family divided their time - Zion (son of Sefulu and Fulumoa) and Zachariah (son of Gafa and David) were still in serious condition and needed their parents around them, as Aisi and Junior (parents of Ezekial) planned for the their sons funeral. The weeks that followed gave testimony to the family's strength and faith in God. Such a peace surrounded them and all the family who gathered for birthday celebrations were now there to celebrate the cherished lives of Fulumoa and Ezekial.

Fulumoa Daly and Ezekial Tanielu-Loua were laid to rest on Monday 15th April 2019. Zion and Zachariah have a long way to go in their recovery and their parents will be in Auckland with them while they recover. With children, work and homes in Christchuch, there is still a lot to sort through in the coming months.

The family wish to express their sincere gratitude and love to all who have supported them so far. They are overwhelmed at everyone's support and generosity.

Use of funds

The money raised will be shared among the family - contributing towards the funeral expenses for Ezekial and Fulumoa. And relieving financial pressures to the family as they concentrate on being in Auckland while their babies Zion (4) and Zachariah (4) recover from brain surgeries in Starship Hospital.
