Em and Beck shave their heads to help fundraise for their Dads fight against terminal cancer. Please help us.
Glen Eden, Auckland
Gary John Howard is our Dad, three weeks ago we found out news that changed life for us as we know it. Our beautiful, strong and courages Dad, who could fight the hardest of fights, and win, has got terminal cancer spread throughout his abdomen. Being the fighter that he is, our Dad is willing and ready to fight for his life. He has grand babies to watch grow up and his two daughters and wife still desperately need him on this earth.
My dad is a man of many talents and those who know him, know how wise and incredible he is when it comes to sports of any type. He has helped so many people achieve their goals, as a coach, a trainer and all in all a bloody brilliant and motivational man.
We ask you to please donate what ever you can towards helping my Dad have a bloody good go as he calls it "in his world title fight". We are going for the win and are planning on defying all the odds stacked up against us. Along with any funds you have spare, we ask for prayers and positive thoughts- sending my dad all the love light, strength and healing he needs will be so so appreciated.
We have chosen to go private because we are told time is of the essence and this is not a cheap route to take. Chemotherapy starts on Thursday the 7th of September and in total will cost my family $50,000. If you choose to support my Dad through this fight your donations will go towards helping to pay for his treatment, and making sure that he can live life to the fullest.
Gary is our (Emma and Rebecca) Dad. We are all heartbroken and lost at the thought of not getting to watch Dad grow old. He has been the absolute best Dad two girls could have ever asked for and we still want and need him here so much. The fight isn't over
- Chemotherapy

Chemo update. 13 December 2023
Kia ora e te whānau,
Today dad received the results regarding his chemo treatment. Today was a particularly crucial day for results and the scan he had done, determined whether or not the chemo is working and whether or not dad should continue with treatment.
I am delighted to say that although we are not out of the woods, the CHEMO IS WORKING! The lesions of cancer on dad's stomach lining HAVE SHRUNK. By how much I do not know, but this is a great indication that the chemo is doing its job and is slowly killing the cancer. AMEN!
This scan has been weighing heavy on our whānau since dad was diagnosed. These positive results are the hope and light that we all needed to keep us fighting hard.
Thank you to everyone who has supported dad and continues to do so. Your love, prayers, positive thoughts and donations have given dad a fighting chance.
Thank you to those who continue to donate to dad. This is extremely helpful as the cost of chemo has recently gone up and ofcourse because the chemo is working, he will be most definitely need more funds to continue the ongoing chemo and treatment.
Thank you thank you thank from the bottom of our hearts to all of you ❤️
