Support Jayla’s Trans Girl Journey, Help Me Feel At Home In My Body

I’m starting this fundraiser to help me access gender-affirming surgeries that are essential to my wellbeing and sense of self.

As a trans woman, my transition is about finally feeling at home in my body. There are three surgeries that are part of this journey for me: facial feminisation surgery (FFS), breast augmentation and gender reassignment surgery. Each one plays a role in helping me align my physical self with who I truly am.

Right now I’m beginning with breast augmentation. One of the earliest and most defining struggles I’ve faced was never feeling comfortable in my chest. No matter what I wore, I couldn’t fill out tops the way I longed to, and having a typically male chest caused me a lot of distress. When I started hormones, I felt a sense of hope that things would change but genetically, I haven’t been able to achieve the fullness that would allow me to feel like myself. Even post hormones i still feel like that same boy playing around in drag hoping id wake up and it would be permanent.

This isn’t about vanity it’s about being able to exist in my body without that constant discomfort and disconnect. Gender affirming care is not a luxury for me, it’s something I need in order to live fully and authentically.
