Supporting my journey to represent New Zealand on the world stage at the 2026 Pan Pacific Championships and Commonwealth Games
Albany, Auckland
Hi, I’m Chelsey Edwards, Aqua Black #265, swimmer training in Auckland New Zealand.
I’ve been swimming since I was five years old, and for more than 19 years I’ve dedicated my life to chasing excellence in the pool. Along the way I’ve represented New Zealand at multiple World Championships, won international medals, and broken national records. In 2025, I became the first New Zealand woman to swim under 25 seconds in the 50m freestyle (Long course meters) cementing my place in New Zealand swimming history.
Now I am preparing for the biggest opportunity of my career: the 2026 Pan Pacific Championships in Los Angeles and the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
However, competing internationally comes with significant costs, and much of this must be self-funded. My family and I have invested heavily to make these opportunities possible, but we cannot do it alone. Flights, accommodation, training camps and time away from work all add up quickly. To give myself the best chance of representing New Zealand on the world stage, I need to raise approximately $12,000.
Any donations will help me continue pursuing my dream and representing New Zealand at the highest level. Your contribution will directly assist with the costs of competing internationally at these competitions and allow me to focus on performing at my best when it matters most.
Thank you for being part of my journey
Funds will go towards travel, accommodation, competition fees, and training costs for my international competition this year.
