I was in the top 7% of 10,000 student entries worldwide and won a partial scholarship. I need to raise money to cover the rest of the costs.

Earlier this year, I won a partial scholarship to attend Oxford University summer school to study Creative Writing. I've been writing ever since I was 6, and to achieve such a thing means a lot to me and my family. Before my dad passed away, he used to encourage me to enter competitions to put use to my talents. Those competitions all ended in disappointment but regardless, he still believed in me. So in a way, I couldn't have made it this far without him and I know he'd be proud of me. Oxford University has been my dream for years and that's something he'd told me to hold onto.
Unfortunately, the scholarship doesn't cover all the costs for the course. I have a single mother who along with me, has 2 other children, and she cannot afford the money remaining. When my mother was 16, she was accepted into prestigious universities including: Yale, Princeton and Long-Island in the USA, but could not afford to go. She knows what it feels like to achieve something so huge and not have the money, so she wants to see me achieve my dream. My family and I ask for the community's help in donating anything they can. A little goes a long way.
I look forward to my experience at Oxford University summer school and encourage those who have a dream, whatever it may be, to stick with it and persevere!!
