Raising money for NZ U23 World Rowing Champs
Cambridge, Waikato
I’ve just been selected for the U23 New Zealand rowing team in the women’s double, and we’re set to compete at the World Championships in Poland from July 23–27. This is a huge milestone and something I’ve been working toward for several years.
In 2022 and 2023, I was part of the NZ U21 team that raced against Australia. Both campaigns were tough—I trained solo through the winter at my home club in Wellington. In 2024, I competed in the University Trans-Tasman team in Brisbane, where I made some big gains.
Following that, I relocated to Waikato to train under Dick Tonks at the Summer Performance Hub. It’s been a demanding block, knowing I had a lot to work on in a short time if I wanted a shot at the U23 team. Despite a minor injury from January through to Nationals, I placed second in the U22 single and won the draft quad.
Every bit of support helps make this dream a reality. Being selected for the U23 New Zealand team in the women's double is the result of years of hard work and sacrifice. Representing New Zealand on the world stage in Poland this July is an incredible honor—and an expensive one. Your donation will go directly toward helping me cover the costs of travel, accommodation, and racing. If you’re able to contribute even something small, I’d be hugely grateful. Thank you for supporting me on this journey!
This will cover all expenses needed to support the campaign: Flights, Accommodation, Food, Transport
