Help needed for Funeral costs and Living costs for Liz and Dave through this difficult time of Dave’s terminal cancer.
Waikato
You may have seen articles about this lovely couple Liz and Dave they had a huge dream to come and live in New Zealand which they fulfilled but it turned into a nightmare when Dave was diagnosed with Terminal Cancer only a couple of months after arriving in New Zealand.
Before Dave’s diagnosis Dave and Liz had both taken out Insurance with Partners Life Insurance, they have recently found out that Partners Life are refusing to pay out and have cancelled Dave’s Insurance-we will keep fighting for justice for Dave and Liz but in the mean time they are left without funds for Dave’s Funeral, taking his ashes back to the UK for a memorial with their kids, family and friends and for Liz to get back to New Zealand where she wants to continue living to keep fulfilling their dream.
Dave is currently in hospital where he has been fighting sepsis and has just had another surgery. With Dave being so ill and Liz wanting to be by his side it is difficult for them financially so funds will also go towards living costs.
Thank you so much for helping out this amazing couple to help ease some of burden for them as they go through such a terrible time.
Sadly Dave has now come home to pass away the Drs have given him 2 weeks.
Funds that were previously raised on Givealittle (https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/embracing-life-with-a-terminal-diagnosis) went towards a beachside holiday so Dave and Liz could enjoy some quality time together, Dave also had an iPad so he can relax whilst in hospital and the remainder has gone towards expenses.
I am a friend of Liz and Dave’s they are such a fun lovely couple and they don’t deserve what’s happening to them so I want to help them in anyway I can to help to lighten their heavy load
The funds will be spent on Funeral costs, travel to take Dave’s ashes back to the Uk and living costs for Liz and Dave
Dave has returned home 10 May 2019
