With YOUR help many lives will be transformed!
Auckland
I first heard about Mercy Ships as a nursing student while I was at university and immediately my heart was set on being a part of something bigger than myself. Since then, I have been longing for a chance to go. I have recently been offered the incredible opportunity to serve on board Mercy Ships for three weeks in Conakry, Guinea.
Mercy Ships was founded in 1978 and is a global charity that seeks to help some of the world's poorest people. Mercy Ships provide free medical and surgical health care where healthcare is non-existent or completely unaffordable. They provide surgeries for maxillofacial, plastic reconstructive, orthopaedics, womens health, general surgeries, eye care as well as dental care.
I hope to bring my theatre nurse skills and knowledge to help the citizens in Guinea.
Mercy Ships is completely voluntary and I would be immensely grateful for prayer and donations towards my mission trip. I will be serving from 11th November 2018 to 1st December 2018 and will be required to fund the following:
Flights: Approximately $3,000
Immunisations: Approximatey $1000
Crew fees: Approximately $700
Mission:
We follow the 2000-year-old model of Jesus, bringing hope and healing to the forgotten poor.
Vision:
Mercy Ships uses hospital ships to transform lives and serve nations, one at a time.
Core Values:
Desiring to follow the model of Jesus, we seek to:

Patient Evaluation 10 September 2018
Hey guys,
Thank you for your support!
Just another quick update.
According to the World Health Organisation there are five billion people who lack access to safe and affordable surgery. Here in New Zealand we are very fortunate to have the privalege of surgery and I am beyond excited to be going to West Africa in 2 months time to help some of these people.
Here’s the latest video of the patient evaluation that has taken place in Guinea.
