Calling on generous NZSL interpreters to sponsor 10 interpreting students to our SLIANZ conference!

Auckland

It’s financially tough for tertiary students at the moment! The upcoming NZSL interpreters in their final year at AUT need a helping hand from us established professionals to get to the SLIANZ conference in June. The conference is in Akld, a perfect opportunity for newbies to learn and be inspired by our collective amazing-ness.

If many of us donate even half an hour of our pay, we can make student registration possible. The cost is $200 per student and there are 10 of them.

Let’s pay it forward to the younguns stepping into this profession. Whatever amount you can put in the pot will be much appreciated 💕🤟

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
