Support Oliver Leydon-Davis and Anona Pak

We are Oliver Leydon-Davis and Anona Pak, New Zealand Badminton athletes. Currently ranked 57 in the world in mixed doubles. We hope to compete for New Zealand at the next major event in 2022. The opportunity has come and we are in the final stages of our campaign to represent NZ to qualify.

Securing qualification means being the highest ranked player/pair in the Oceania Confederation and inside the top 50 in the world as per the Badminton World Federation (BWF) ranking system at the end of the qualification period on April 30, 2022. This requires competing in tournaments in Germany, England, Switzerland and France in March this year to move up the last 7 places we need.

Badminton New Zealand receives zero high performance funding from Sport New Zealand, therefore the financial burden of competing at these events falls on us personally. As no doubt you can appreciate, the current circumstances are difficult for everyone and only increases our financial pressure
