A fundraising campaign to support Orland Basas and his family as they face the challenges of Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer.
Invercargill, Southland
My dear friend, Orland Basas, is facing the toughest battle of his life. Orland came to New Zealand, like many of us, with dreams of creating a better future for his family. He is a loving husband, a devoted father to his young child, and a hardworking man who has always put his family first.
Just last week, Orland received the devastating news that he has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. The diagnosis has come as a shock to his family, friends, and everyone who knows him.
This cause is especially close to my heart. Two years ago, I lost my beloved wife to Leukaemia, and I experienced firsthand the emotional, physical, and financial challenges that cancer brings to a family. It is a journey that no one can truly understand until they have walked in those shoes.
Today, I am asking for your support for Orland and his family. Your generousity will help ease some of the financial burden associated with medical treatment, travel, daily living expenses, and the many unforeseen costs that come with battling cancer. More importantly, your support will allow Orland and his family to focus on what matters most—spending precious time together and fighting this disease with strength, dignity, and hope.
No donation is too small. Every contribution will make a meaningful difference and remind Orland and his family that they are not facing this battle alone.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support.
Orland Basas is one of my closest friends and has been like family to me here in New Zealand, providing friendship, support, and companionship throughout the years.
The funds will be used to assist with medical-related expenses, travel to specialist appointments, household bills, daily living costs, family support needs, and other unforeseen expenses arising from Orland's cancer treatment and care.
