Please help us support Oscar through his cancer treatment and ease the financial pressure during this challenging time.
Devonport, Auckland
Oscar, our much loved office administrator at Multisport Physio is currently undergoing a very tough battle with metastatic bowel cancer. Last year he underwent chemotherapy and immunotherapy and at Christmas had to undergo surgery. Since then he has had struggled with a persistent, reoccurring infection which has been touch and go at times. Despite this he has remained very positive, and is fighting a big fight. This week he is home preparing for a course of radiotherapy. As you can imagine this has placed a huge physical, emotional and financial strain on him.
Oscar is so well liked by staff, patients, gym members, and the wider local community. He brings an incredibly positive outlook on life and truly embodies our ethos of keeping both the body and mind healthy, which is inspirational. He is always physically working hard even when things get tough.
Oscar means a lot to all of us, and we’re really hoping to support him through this difficult time. Being a long way from his family in England makes this even harder, and it would give him and his supportive partner such a boost to feel the support of the community around him.
Any contribution, big or small, would mean a great deal. If you're unable to donate, we would really appreciate you sharing this page. Thank you so much for your support.
Oscar is our office administrator at Multisport Physio, and I work closely with him every day. Seeing him go through this has been incredibly tough.
We are raising funds to help ease some of that burden of being unable to work, supporting his day to day living costs, his partner and by making a contribution towards his treatment related expenses.
Urgent Medical move for funded treatment leaving NZ for England on Friday. 11 May 2026
Oscar has now finished his radiotherapy treatment. The treatment has been brutal and has left him extremely tired and with very little energy as he continues his recovery journey.
Following medical advice, Oscar and Anna have made the difficult decision to return to the UK and go on Friday 15th of May, where he will have access to funded immunotherapy medications that are not available in New Zealand and that are standard treatment in many other countries (including Australia).
This week they are packing up their flat and belongings before returning to Darlington in the UK, where they will initially stay with family. In time, they will need to find their own space so Oscar can properly rest and recover while Anna supports him through treatment. At this stage, Anna is still awaiting registration approval before she is able to work.
The financial pressure of relocating countries while facing ongoing medical treatment and loss of income is significant. Thanks for helping this far and if you are able to help in any way — whether through a donation, sharing this page, or simply sending support — it would mean so much to Oscar and Anna during this incredibly challenging and uncertain time.
Thank you all for the kindness, generosity, and support you continue to show them. ❤️
