Please help out our beautiful friends as they navigate this journey needing specialized care for their darling girl born at 24 weeks.
Nelson
Inoke & Jaydene welcomed their little girl into this world at 24 weeks after 8 miscarriages.
What began with excitement that this pregnancy was different quickly became complicated, filled with uncertainty, specialist appointments & difficult decisions. They were flown to Wellington to be under specialist care. Every day became about taking one hour at a time & praying for more time.
Then at 23 weeks & 6 days their world turned upside down. In an urgent & life-threatening situation doctors had to deliver their baby early to save Jaydene's life. Against all odds both of them survived, their tiny warrior was born, weighing just 335 grams (possibly one of the smallest babies in NZ).
While they are overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible medical team caring for them, the road ahead remains long. As Jaydene recovers from major surgery, she needs to remain close to their baby throughout, which is expected to be a 3 month NICU stay. At the same, her husband is doing everything he can to hold their family together. The emotional, physical and financial strain has been immense, & asking for help does not come easily for them. But if you feel led to support their family, whether a donation, sharing their story, or keeping them in your prayers, they would be deeply grateful.
Thank you for standing with their family as they navigate this unexpected chapter and look forward to the day they can finally bring their beautiful baby girl home.
I have known Jaydene & her family from when she was a young girl. It's been a privilege to watch her become the beautiful woman she is. Also watching her marry her wonderful husband & become a mum of her now two beautiful children. They are incredible.
The money will be spent on easing the financial pressure & expenses that comes from having a long time off work. Travelling to & from Wellington, as Inoke still works, plus supporting Jaydene & their son who is 2 years old.
