Fundraising for the staff at Araucaria pizza in Berhampore recover from major flood damage with no insurance.

Our well loved Araucaria Pizza in Berhampore has been hit hard by the flooding disaster and doesn’t have insurance to cover the damage.
We’re raising funds to help the owner, Matias Martinez, and his family get back on their feet, and to support their team—many of whom are sponsored workers from Chile—so they can stay employed while the shop recovers.
These peeps have brought us so much vibrancy, hospitality & joy while making make THE BEST Pizza in Wellington!
While there is a mayoral relief fund, it’s unlikely to prioritise businesses like this—so they may be waiting a long time for support that may or may not happen.
