I am raising funds assistance to to send a 40 foot container of donated medical equipment to Adaado Hospital Somalia.

I want to be able to try and rectify some of the equipment short falls and other deficiencies that I have seen at Adaado general hospital in Somalia when I worked there as a volunteer nurse last year. Adaado, is a town in the central Galguduud region of Somalia. and serves about 30,000 people and several large satellite villages. I am raising funds to progress assistance to Adaado Hospital in Somalia. I have been fundraising to send a 40 foot container of donated medical equipment to Somalia and was able to raise $2500 from an African film festival held in Christchurch The total cost of the freight consignment is NZD10000 and I am seeking to raise the the balance of NZD7500.

Last year I worked as a volunteer nurse at the Adaado hospital and raised funds via Give a little which were used to purchase animal feed and water to suport families during the Somali drought. In New Zealand I have been offered a container load of medical supplies for Adaado Hopsital by a local NGO, but need to raise $10,000 for transport costs to Somalia. I have raised funds via an African film festival night which will be used to support transport costs of getting the supplies to the hospital and am now looking for the balance of the cash which is $7500.
