Please help lighten the load for Paul, Gail and family as they face Motor Neurone Disease, they've given so much of themselves.
Dunedin, Otago
We’re reaching out with heavy hearts to share the journey of someone truly special — my brother Paul, a deeply loved husband to Gail, devoted dad to five beautiful children, and one of the kindest souls you could ever meet.
If you’ve been lucky enough to cross paths with Paul, you’ll know his great sense of humour, his endless talents, and the way his music can light up a room. He’s the kind of person who gives without asking for anything in return. Now, we’re asking for him.
In April 2024, Paul was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), a cruel and terminal illness that no family should ever have to face.
Since then, Paul has had to step away from work and hand over his business. Day-to-day things most of us take for granted are becoming harder.
The funds we’re hoping to raise will help make Paul’s home safer and more accessible, support the purchase of a specialised wheelchair enabling him to access the places he loves; the beach, bushwalks and even the land they live on. Mobility vehicle, and most importantly, create opportunities for Paul and his family to make lasting, beautiful memories together.
Paul is facing this with extraordinary courage and hope. There’s still so much life, and so much love to give.
Whether you’re able to donate, share his story, or simply send love and prayers, it all matters. Every bit of support brings hope, comfort, and dignity to a man who has brought those very things to so many others.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
Paul is my brother, and best friend who I admire and love, and share so many great adventures with.
The funds we’re hoping to raise will help make Paul’s home safer and more accessible, support the purchase of a specialised wheelchair, a mobility vehicle, and to enable them to create special memories together as a family.
THANK YOU!!! 2 August 2025
Hi everyone,
Sorry for the delayed update. Paul and I are so very humbled by your generosity, love and kindness and want to tell you how thankful we are.
We are, quite simply, blown away by your support, financially via Give a Little, but also want to acknowledge those who have helped in so many other ways. Some great news for us is we have found a second hand specialised chair which is within the amount donated. Such a blessing thanks to you all, and we will update with a photo once we have received this. Plans are underway to sort the entrance to the house too.
Much Love and God's blessings,
Paul, Gail and Family.
