Helping Stevo from Sticky Johnson Surf Wax recover from the flash floods that have significantly damaged his business. Thank you.
Auckland
Stevo is the owner/operator of kiwi company Sticky Johnson Surf Wax, a humble legend of a human and HUGE supporter of NZ surfers & the entire surf community all across Aotearoa.
He’s a hard working man & has put his heart & soul into building this business too also support his family, his beautiful lady, Kristy & his lil boy Mateo.
Unfortunately in the flash floods this week in West Auckland (Kumeu) where the Sticky Johnson brand is based, the warehouse & production factory got flogged, completely swamped with flooding. It’s surreal to see the damage they sustained. They’ve had to scrap thousands of dollars worth of stock (wax, accessories etc) that was destined for shops post lockdown & more that had been set aside to sponsor upcoming events has had to be destroyed and they have also lost production equipment that will have to be repaired or replaced to get the business operational again.
We are asking everyone to donate by buying a “virtual block of wax”. A block of Sticky Johnson Surf Wax usually costs around $5 in your local surf store so why not donate at least $5 (or more would be epic of course) to help Stevo get the business back up & running.
Thank you.
Gav & Reuben.
*There is insurance but it’s going to take ages and it ain’t going to cover the costs or losses from this shitty situation for the Sticky brand or Stevo & his whanau.
Stevo has been a good mate for many years & has always given so generously to the entire NZ surf community for a very long time with his Sticky Johnson Surf Wax business.
Fixing damage. Repairing & replacing machinery. Recovering stock loss. Covering costs of all the clean up. Helping the business get back into production again. Assisting Stevo & his family to get through this.
