Right side ultrasound, left wrist, etc.
21 November 2016Hi Everyone, here's a general update on what has been happening.
Lets start with the ultrasound: I went for the ultrasound last week and unfortunately they could not see anything out of place with that type of scan. I was a bit disappointing because the ultrasound is not able to see underneath my scapula which is the primary area of concern in this case – the disappointment stems from the fact that I asked the referring Dr. and he said that it would be able to do that. The good news is that a future MRI would be limited to a smaller area around my right side scapular region.
Accountability and Transparency: Here is a link to the ultrasound invoice.

I will be making phone contact with another medical professional to discuss what the best options are from here and which specialists to see. Once that is done I will post an update on the new course of action. At this stage I feel it is logical to get the MRI done because something is out of place, it is not just pain or chronic pain with normal musculoskeletal functioning – but lets wait and see what he suggests.
Again, I just want to stress that I don't think there is going to be any solution like surgery to fix my right side injury, and I sure as heck would not trust the medical system not to screw me up more.
Left wrist overuse injury (not directly related to this fundraiser but still relevant): Things are very slowly moving forward with my left wrist overuse ACC claim, I still think getting coverage and or loss of income is a very low probability due to the mess of a case it is. I am currently waiting on my former employer to complete the 4 page document.
I would love to write more but I am too depressed and typing is not an activity that brings me copious amounts of joy or excitement – of all the things I can do on a computer typing is one of the least friendly to my health.
Thanks again to everyone who helped with the cost of the ultrasound
Martin.
