The Stewarts need your help again as Graham battles a second cancer and is unable to return to work due to surgery.
Auckland
It has been more than a year since Graham was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Thanks to everyone's generosity last year, he made good progress from treatment and surgery.
However, the couple were devastated to find out in September this year that Graham also has Grade 3 prostate cancer. He has been in a lot of pain and his body is still weak from Whipple Surgery. The doctors have recommended that he starts on hormonal treatment until he is stronger.
In the meantime, Graham is still unable to work, which means they are reliant on one income.
It has been a very tough year and a half, as Mabel has to teach full-time while caring for her husband. She has expressed that it has been a real struggle financially and they do need to raise an additional $200 per week for the next 10 weeks to help tide things over.
Both Graham and his wife Mabel moved from Wellington to Auckland in 2013 to help the poor in South Auckland. This included reaching out to low income families with clothing, toiletries and groceries. Most of the help they extended came out of their own savings.
Please give generously to this couple that has given so much out of the little that they have. Do keep Graham and Mabel in prayer too. Thank you.
I decided to create this fundraiser as I have known the Stewarts since 2005. Graham was my classmate for a year at Ministry Training College in Wellington. I wish to relieve them of their financial burden during this difficult time of treatment.
Funds will be used to help cover daily expenses such as groceries, petrol and rent.
