UPDATE:

Its now time to do a page update on wee Riley...

So if things weren't already stressful enough for poor Ash and Brownie of constant uncontrolled seizures continuing now that they are home from Dunedin, they have since found out terrible heart breaking news that Riley has in fact been diagnosed with a genetic syndrome in which he won't survive. They don't know how long they have left with him weather it be just 1 year or just 3 years MAX. They are hoping to be able to take a year or so off work but still have on going bills and mortgages etc like us all. So please get behind this incredibly strong and amazing family and help them spend every precious moments with their beautiful wee boy.

Many many thanks in advance to you all that has/will and are going to donate. It is all hugely appreciated.

Original Message:

Their beautiful wee boy Riley William Brown was born on the 1st of February. First child of theirs and meant to be all exciting and everything was meant to go perfect...unfortunately Riley needed taken down to NICU (Neonatal intensive care unit) as his breathing wasn't too good, but later on that day he started having seizures, unsure why and scared as hell like any parent and wanting to know why, he underwent tests including a lumbar puncture, monitors kept showing "seizure activity" but not visual to see, and he had an MRI scan yesterday morning (5/2/15)

Riley was taken off medicines the day after the initial seizures in the hope he wouldn't have any more, how ever later on yesterday (5/2/15) they got the results from the MRI...he had a brain bleed (any parent will think the worst) then with in hours starting having seizures again.

In the hope it has stopped bleeding they are to stay down there for another several weeks yet, as a first time mum been in this exact same position before and any one who has stayed in the hospital for a lengthy period of time knows it's a huge financial stress with food, accommodation, living costs still going on at home, mortgages, bills etc so please get behind this great couple, help and support them and help them solely concentrate on their beautiful boy and getting him well and home, weather it's $20 or $200 it ALL helps.
