Please help to support the Cheeseman family as they face the difficult journey to bring baby Cheeseman into the world
Canterbury
After a routine heart scan at 24 weeks pregnant after having a previous child (Sienna) with a heart condition it was discovered that Ashleigh’s cervix was open. On further investigation, it became apparent that baby Cheeseman was trying to make his way into the world far too early. Ashleigh was transferred to Christchurch women’s hospital where she is on strict bedrest while the doctors try do everything they can to keep baby Cheeseman in the womb so he can have a fighting chance in this world. It is a very stressful time for the Cheeseman family, Simon and Ashleigh have three other children at home and Simon has just started a new job with no sick leave or annual leave available. After the journey of overcoming Sienna’s massive hurdles, the Cheeseman’s now have another long road ahead of them. They are taking each day as it comes with the prospect of months ahead in the hospital.
I created this cause to rally together support for the Cheeseman family during this difficult time. Simon and Ashleigh have been very hesitant to accept my offer to fundraise. However, after discussion with family and close friends they have reluctantly agreed to the cause.
Money raised will be used to cover lost wages, travel, hospital parking and the basic necessities the family need to make ends meet during this difficult time.
