Helping a Chilean family to return to Chile, after devastating news.
Auckland
Eduardo and his family came to NZ in January 2023, looking for a better life, especially for their oldest son who has autism and in Chile had very poor rehabilitation options.
He is a painter and luckily, found a job and a sponsor in only a few months to legally stay in NZ for 3 years. During this time, he and his wife worked to rent a house and live peacefully. In addition, they found a great school for their son and he was improving considerably with his speech and behaviour.
When his visa had almost expired, he applied for a renewal and his employer was happy to extend his agreement because he is a very reliable worker. Sadly, Immigration did not think so and declined his application, sending him a letter informing them they had to leave the country before the 12th of June 2026.
They are devastated because their dream to raise their children in a country fillied with opportunities has finished abruptly.
They don't have any savings because they spent their last money with immigration advisers and applications. In adition, they don't have enough time to save money for tickets, because they have less than 2 weeks to depart.
This family humbly asks for the kindness of all who can lend a hand in this difficult time. "God loves a cheerful giver" - 2 Corinthians 9:7
I am Eduardo's older brother, raising the page in his behalf, because he is so devastated with the immigration outcomes.
