Help support Anthony Edwards' in getting to Chandigarh, India to get treatment for Neuroendocrine cancer.
Kamo, Whangarei
Kia ora whanau and friends, we invite you to join us in supporting our whanau taonga Anthony Edwards, a 41-year-old Ngati Wai, Ngati Kahungunu father and grandfather who has recently been diagnosed with advanced Neuroendocrine Cancer. Anthony is a cherished son, brother, partner, and father, known for his generosity, care, humility, and the love he spreads to those around him.
Unfortunately, there were no warning signs for his cancer, leaving our family in a state of devastating shock. We are now seeking your support to help Anthony receive advanced private treatments in Chandigarh, India, as the New Zealand health system is unable to provide the necessary care in a timely manner.
After Anthony's diagnosis, we immediately initiated private care within New Zealand. However, due to the urgency of his condition, we have been advised that seeking further treatment offshore is crucial. This decision comes with a significant financial burden, as the costs associated with international treatment are substantial. As a close-knit whanau, we are determined to do everything in our power to ensure Anthony receives the treatment he requires to fight this battle.
We humbly reach out to our wider community, friends, and anyone who can lend a helping hand. By contributing to this fundraising initiative, you will be making a direct impact on Anthony's journey towards recovery and providing him with the best possible chance of overcoming this disease.
The Edwards' family has united to establish a Givealittle page to support Anthony with his treatments. It is with shock and sorrow that we learn of the diagnosis of our cherished family member, the youngest in our whanau. Warm regards, The Edwards Whanau.
Your support will enable us to cover the expenses associated with Anthony's advanced private treatments in Chandigarh, India. These treatments offer hope and a chance for Anthony to receive the care he urgently needs.
