    Dear all,

    This is a final post to thank you all one last time before we close this page. There has been an incredible response to the call to support Antoinette through her healing process, and we genuinely believe that the money raised here, along with the heartfelt messages of love, have been truly life-changing. Despite the many physical and emotional challenges that came with Antoinette's diagnosis, she has been able to set in motion the path forward that she had initially not thought possible, stepping completely away from work for a period to focus on her recovery, with the support of specific complementary medicines. She has been working with wonderful practitioners since just prior to Round 2 of treatment, and feels confident that she's on the right track managing the chemo effects with the combo she's chosen – acupuncture, acupressure, homeopathy, and massage.

    Antoinette has been feeling and looking amazing recently, with super encouraging feedback from her oncologist and all other practitioners, who are so happy with how she is responding to treatment. We attribute this positive result to the possibilities that opened with your loving response, whether in the form of financial support, messages, nourishing meals or any of the various ways of supporting her – thank you so much for being there in all your ways. It is truly having a healing effect!

    We leave this page feeling absolutely optimistic for the future and so grateful to you all for your part in this.

She is facing this with such courage and grace - truly an amazing and beautiful soul. We are so hopeful for what lies ahead now that you have sent such an encouraging update.   • Antoinette's progress

    Hi everyone,

    I just wanted to touch base with an update on Antoinette. On Tuesday morning, Ant will have her second round of chemo, this time using the port-a-cath entry, which was put in last week and which we hope will be a blessing going forward. There have been ups and downs over the weeks, but she continues to feel so very humbled by the support she has received from you all and the opportunity she now has to receive the complementary treatment she hoped for, and to focus on healing and recovery. She has begun receiving acupuncture and acupressure and is already feeling the benefit of these treatments. Thank you so much for making this possible for her.

    One of Antoinette's brilliant friends, Britt, had the great idea for round 1, to energetically support Antoinette with a sing & dance-along of Kung-Fu Fighting, collectively in position at the time the treatment begins!     I love the thought of her imagining us all looking ridiculous... she will have no choice but to smile!

  • A message from Antoinette

    To the Happen Films community, friends, and family,

    I am so moved by the loving support from you all to assist me on my chemo & surgery journey. At a time when everything has suddenly turned upside down and inside out, you’ve not only created space for me to relax into healing, but reminded me that we live a world that is full of loving kindness. Thank you for your beautiful words and your generosity.

    My first round of chemo last week was rougher than anticipated; it’s taken me a week to come right and it’s clear I won’t be working as much as I’d (perhaps naively!) anticipated. So while Danielle and Jord had hoped with this campaign to help me cover the complementary therapy that feels so important to me, the enormous generosity you’ve all shown means I can now also cover lost income. I’m so grateful.

  • So very grateful for your generosity

    We have been absolutely blown away by the speed at which people have responded, and the generosity shown by so many in response to our call for help.

    This has come at a very challenging time for Antoinette, as her first chemo session was on Thursday, and sadly, it has been a much more difficult experience than we had hoped. Your kind words, donations, thoughts and well-wishes have meant so much, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
