Supporting Susan to begin urgent cancer treatment without delay and easing the financial burden on her and her whānau.
Canterbury
If you’ve ever met Sue, you’ll know she is the kind of person who gives without hesitation, loves without limits, and shows up for others time and time again.
Our beautiful Auntie Susan has always put others before herself. Not only has she been an incredible aunty to her own whānau, but to so many others who have been lucky enough to cross her path. She has a way of taking people under her wing, offering kindness, support, and love without ever expecting anything in return.
Susan is truly one of the most selfless, generous, and caring women you could ever meet.
Recently, she has been diagnosed with stage four cancer. While we navigate this incredibly difficult time, we want to do everything we can to support her, just as she has done for so many of us throughout her life.
Due to the long wait times within the public health system, Susan has been given a 10 week wait before she can begin treatment. Unfortunately, with time not on our side, this is not an option for her.
We want to help ease any financial stress and to give her the means to begin treatment as soon as possible. Our goal is to remove any financial barriers so Susan can access the care she needs without delay, allowing her and her whānau to focus on what truly matters during this time.
For those who feel able to give, we invite you to contribute as a way of giving back to a woman who has spent her life giving to others.
Now it’s our turn to surround her with the same love, care, and generosity she has always shown.
Susan is my aunty, and I’ve been incredibly lucky to have her love and support throughout my life.
All funds will go towards Susan’s private chemotherapy treatment at St George’s Hospital, along with associated medical costs and support with living costs to ease the financial burden during this time.
