Helping Hudson and his family focus on what matters most.
Waikato
I’m creating this Givealittle page for my dear friends and their beautiful little boy, Hudson, who has recently been diagnosed with a Wilms tumor, a childhood kidney cancer. Like any parents, Rachael and Nathan never imagined they would be facing something like this, and their lives have been turned upside down by specialist appointments, scans, and a treatment plan no parent should have to navigate.
Hudson will undergo six weeks of chemotherapy in the hope of shrinking the tumour and affected kidney, making surgery as safe as possible. His journey is made even more complex because he also has a hole in his heart. At this stage, surgery is considered too risky due to its length, so chemotherapy is being used first to give him the best possible chance of a safer operation.
Despite everything he is facing, Hudson continues to smile, play, and show incredible courage everyday. He is the bravest little boy.
Over the coming weeks and months, Hudson’s family will be focused entirely on supporting him through treatment. This will mean frequent hospital appointments, time away from work, travel, accommodation, and the unexpected costs that come with caring for a child with cancer.
We’re hoping we can come together to help ease some of the financial burden, allowing his family to focus on what matters most, being by his side.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will make a genuine difference. Thank you for standing with Hudson and his whānau during this incredibly difficult time.
