Help Chloe's Parents be able to stay by her side during her Leukemia Journey.
Northland
In the early hours of 31 January, Chloe Kirkham, just 2 years and 3 months old, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). In a matter of hours, her parents’ world changed.
Chloe is a happy, easy-going toddler who brings smiles to everyone around her with her cheeky personality and strong will. She always knows what she wants, and nobody can tell her otherwise.
Chloe was urgently transferred to Starship Hospital in Auckland, arriving by helicopter on Saturday morning, where she is now under the care of an incredible team of doctors and nurses. Everything has moved very quickly, and the family is taking things one day at a time as Chloe begins her treatment journey.
Chloe’s parents, Samii and Tom Kirkham have had to put work on hold so they can remain by her side. This has meant being away from home, relying on others to care for their pets, and managing household responsibilities from afar. Adding to this, Chloe’s mum Samii is three months pregnant, preparing to welcome their second child during an already overwhelming time.
This page has been created because many friends, family members, and people in the wider community have asked how they can help. Chloe’s family has not asked for financial support and is not expecting anything but for those who wish to help, this is a way to offer practical support and ease some of the pressure.
The intention is simply to remove some of the financial stress, allowing Chloe’s parents to focus fully on her care and wellbeing.
I am Chloe's Aunty, Samii's Sister, we are Best friends, Chloe is like another Daughter to me they mean the absolute world to me. I'm wanting to help in every way possible to keep my sister and brother in law next to their daughter every step of the way.

Update on Chloe 5 February 2026
Monday Chloe went in for a procedure to have a bone marrow biopsy taken, a lumbar puncture and her port put in for treatments.
While under she also had chemo injected directly into her spinal fluid in case it had spread there.
Prior to Chloes procedure she received a platelet transfusion also.
From this her bone marrow came back confirming her diagnosis with no more surprises and her lumbar puncture was clear so the Cancer hadn't spread to her spinal fluid, was so nice getting some good news!
In the afternoon of Monday Chloe had her first chemo treatment, from this she has done amazing and is tolerating the treatment really well so far.
Today she starts a steroid as part of her ongoing treatment so hopefully she tolerates that well too, she also had a blood transfusion as her hemoglobin (red blood cells) got a bit low.
However we were given positive news today that her white blood cells have come down substantially as they were really high, even for her diagnosis. Her fluids are also going to be reduced over the next few days and her blood tests are now going to be dropped to twice daily indicating we are on track to be able to move from the hospital to our accommodation at Ronald Mcdonald house.
We have been so fortunate with the amazing doctors and nurses we have seen over this whole process.
Overall everything is heading in the right direction and the team at starship have been amazing.
