Help Chloe's Parents be able to stay by her side during her Leukemia Journey.
Northland
In the early hours of 31 January, Chloe Kirkham, just 2 years and 3 months old, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). In a matter of hours, her parents’ world changed.
Chloe is a happy, easy-going toddler who brings smiles to everyone around her with her cheeky personality and strong will. She always knows what she wants, and nobody can tell her otherwise.
Chloe was urgently transferred to Starship Hospital in Auckland, arriving by helicopter on Saturday morning, where she is now under the care of an incredible team of doctors and nurses. Everything has moved very quickly, and the family is taking things one day at a time as Chloe begins her treatment journey.
Chloe’s parents, Samii and Tom Kirkham have had to put work on hold so they can remain by her side. This has meant being away from home, relying on others to care for their pets, and managing household responsibilities from afar. Adding to this, Chloe’s mum Samii is three months pregnant, preparing to welcome their second child during an already overwhelming time.
This page has been created because many friends, family members, and people in the wider community have asked how they can help. Chloe’s family has not asked for financial support and is not expecting anything but for those who wish to help, this is a way to offer practical support and ease some of the pressure.
The intention is simply to remove some of the financial stress, allowing Chloe’s parents to focus fully on her care and wellbeing.
I am Chloe's Aunty, Samii's Sister, we are Best friends, Chloe is like another Daughter to me they mean the absolute world to me. I'm wanting to help in every way possible to keep my sister and brother in law next to their daughter every step of the way.
Household bills at home.
Groceries and essentials.
Travel costs.
General expenses while time off work is required.
CHLOE IS HOME 5 March 2026
I managed to visit my sister, Chloe and brother-in-law on the 1st of March after potential colds in my household keeping our distance for 2 weeks. And what an amazing fun day I had with Chloe she was full of beans and energy and excitement to have a new face to look at after being stuck with the same faces (mum and dads) and walls for so long.
BUT on the 2nd of March late arvo after Chloe had a bone marrow test and lumber puncture her obs came back good and she was given the all clear to go home, due to the travel samii and Tom decided to stay Monday night and head home Tuesday morning with the car packed to the brim with their stuff and all the gifts and food everyone generously gave during their time in Auckland.
We are absolutely stoked that they are finally home in their own space and beds again with Chloe spending her first night sleeping 14hrs straight!!
Now for the near future they will be doing a lot of travelling for appointments and treatments between Auckland and Whangarei for Chloe's needs and we keep our fingers crossed Chloe keeps trooping along and does not need admitting into hospital again or at least to soon from now.
Just want to shout out to those who supplied some home cooked meals and baking while they were in Auckland to help keep costs down and still supplying food to help out.
And to those who helped me clean any potential bug in their home while they were away thankyou, there was no way I was going to complete the job on my own. Thankyou!!
