Supporting Chloe Kirkham & Family During Her Leukemia Journey

Help Chloe's Parents be able to stay by her side during her Leukemia Journey.

Northland

In the early hours of 31 January, Chloe Kirkham, just 2 years and 3 months old, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). In a matter of hours, her parents’ world changed.

Chloe is a happy, easy-going toddler who brings smiles to everyone around her with her cheeky personality and strong will. She always knows what she wants, and nobody can tell her otherwise.

Chloe was urgently transferred to Starship Hospital in Auckland, arriving by helicopter on Saturday morning, where she is now under the care of an incredible team of doctors and nurses. Everything has moved very quickly, and the family is taking things one day at a time as Chloe begins her treatment journey.

Chloe’s parents, Samii and Tom Kirkham have had to put work on hold so they can remain by her side. This has meant being away from home, relying on others to care for their pets, and managing household responsibilities from afar. Adding to this, Chloe’s mum Samii is three months pregnant, preparing to welcome their second child during an already overwhelming time.

This page has been created because many friends, family members, and people in the wider community have asked how they can help. Chloe’s family has not asked for financial support and is not expecting anything but for those who wish to help, this is a way to offer practical support and ease some of the pressure.

The intention is simply to remove some of the financial stress, allowing Chloe’s parents to focus fully on her care and wellbeing.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
