By supporting the The Dust Palace annual appeal you help us secure the future of circus theatre development in Tāmaki Makaurau.
Auckland
Once upon a time, Eve Gordon, once called the Beyonce of New Zealand circus, co-founded The Dust Palace. She wanted to create a space in Tāmaki Makaurau that established professional circus theatre.
Along the way our one-of-a-kind specialty circus hub was born: an open, accessible space for people to learn the amazing skills and magic of circus, and feel included and safe while doing it.
Over the next 14 years, the company and the school have grown with the help of an incredible whānau of artists, students and supporters into the buzzing circus hub that it is today.
However.
Circus requires bespoke facilities - and they don’t come cheap! Commercial rent and inflating overheads means our studio space faces an uncertain future.
Today we launch our first ever annual appeal, and we need your support.
What would the future of Aotearoa circus look like without the Dust Palace studio?
No matter how big or small, your donation will help us keep the doors open to this one-of-a-kind space in Tāmaki Makaurau.
A place that to so many people means home, artistic expression, safety, community, empowerment and acceptance.
Nā tō rourou, nā taku rourou ka ora ai te iwi
