Supporting Eleazar Bramley, Māori artist and mother, through Stage 4 pancreatic cancer with hope and treatment costs.

Selwyn Heights, Rotorua

At 49, Eleazar Manutai Bramley is facing a Stage 4 pancreatic cancer diagnosis. While surgery is not currently an option, she is meeting this challenge with courage, hope, and the support of her whānau and friends.

A contemporary Māori artist, illustrator, weaver and curator, Eleazar has spent her life uplifting others through creativity and community. Of Ngāti Mahuta Waikato-Tainui, Marutūāhu Ngāti Paoa, Ngāti Rangitihi, Tūhourangi, Ngāti Whakaue, Ngāti Tūwharetoa and Celtic descent, she draws strength from her whakapapa, whānau and ancestors.

Inspired by the story of Rona, who transformed adversity into connection and purpose, Eleazar is choosing to live fully with this diagnosis rather than be defined by it. She hopes her journey may contribute to greater understanding and future possibilities for others facing pancreatic cancer, particularly for Indigenous communities who have often been underrepresented in clinical trials.

Alongside chemotherapy, Eleazar is pursuing complementary therapies, genetic testing and potential targeted treatments.

Funds raised will help cover:

• Genetic testing – $4,000

• Vitamin C infusions – $450 each

• Supplements – $675/month

• Hyperbaric oxygen therapy – $100–130/session

• Mistletoe therapy – $180/fortnight

• Overseas consultations in Italy – €800–900

• Potential Keytruda immunotherapy – $100,000+/year

Any contribution or share will help provide Eleazar with more options, support and hope.

"Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini."

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
