Supporting Kit in her fight against cancer

  • Thank you from Kit and Scott!

      29 May 2019

With only 2 days until this page closes Kit and Scott wanted to say a massive thank you to all the friends, family, friends of friends, and strangers from all over the world. The number of mums (and in particular mums with sons and even mums with sons named Liam!) that donated has blown them (and us) away. The generosity of everyone is far far greater than we’d anticipated, and all of that love has truly helped Kit in her fight.

Kit has now had two rounds of chemo, with the second one being that little bit harder and slower to bounce back from. Kit’s doctors have given her a plan that includes up to 6 rounds of chemo in total so we know in the coming weeks things will get tougher with each round. But Kit is a fighter, she is one of the strongest, most determined and stoic people we know. She is putting her all into beating this thing!

We are yet to find out if the chemo is working but we are all in positive spirits, with Kit feeling a bit better than she was before chemo started, with some of the symptoms reducing.

In the mean time Kit is smashing through a bucket list, making sure she values every moment she has - we’ve attached some photos from her bucket-list in the gallery. She has reduced her pain meds which were making her incredibly sleepy, instead prioritising her baby over her own pain and spending as much quality time as she can with him.

The funds raised here have already supported Kit, Scott and Liam. They have contributed to the costs of Kit’s private specialist appointments that are investigating possible unfunded treatments with options including unfunded radiation, chemo and immunotherapy treatment. Depending on which treatments she gets they are looking at a potential bill of over a whopping 100k.

Thank you again to everyone that has donated. It means the world to Kit and Scott, and all her family and friends xx
