SUPPORTING NEAS BALLET DREAM

Hi, my name is Sue and I am a close family friend of Nea Stokman. i wish to help support her in her dream to become a professional Ballerina as I truly believe with the right support Nea can realize her dream.

Nea is a beautiful 13 year old girl who is passionately dedicated and fully committed in following her dream in dancing. she has been doing NZAMD dance classes through Whangamata dance studio since the age of 5 years old, sitting national exams and medal testing in Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop and Contemporary dance, receiving the highest marks.

Over the last couple of years Nea has been casually having private ballet lessons with a dance teacher who saw Nea's pure love and potential in dance. Nea has completely fallen in love with Ballet.

Nea says "when im dancing and on stage, I feel as though someone has turned my switch on and i come alive, I just want to dance all day everyday."

In order for Nea to continue ballet and move forward her dream at her age it was recommend that Nea to find a Ballet school to train further in. It is very fortunate that in Ngatea a renowned ex principal ballet dancer and NZ ballet judge Pauline Germon has a respectful ballet school Thames Hauraki Ballet Theater and teaches RAD (Royal academy of dance) Syllabus. Though Nea has a little ballet experience compared with other ballet students, Nea passed an assessment and was offered a place in the ballet school starting at intermediate foundation level.

Nea is fully supported by her solo mother Trisha, but unfortunately all the costs of ballet tuition, shoes, tutus, competitions, travel, exams etc. is far beyond what Trisha can afford on her own. Trisha needs to take Nea over to ballet twice a week (which is a 2 hour return trip from Whangamata) where Nea will train for 3+ hours at a time. an estimated cost will be 7-8 thousand a year.

Nea can only have this opportunity with the support of fundraising, so please help her dream come true. Every little bit counts. Thank you.
