What's happening...
6 May 2022Fortunately with the help of our wonderful community, friends and family and an amazing surgeon, Rex has had his prostrate along with the aggressive cancer, removed 4 weeks ago. The process took 4 1/2 hours using a robotic assisted surgery. He had an update from his surgeon yesterday and had news that the surgery was very successful. Due to the cancers location a close eye is going to be kept in the next few weeks to ensure all the blood PSA levels reduce down to a level the medical profession deem as safe in his situation. Rex is recovering well being fit and active prior to the operation. He is following the program from a specialized physiotherapist and has returned part time to his work doing only light duties. One thing he would like all you guys to do though is have their annual health checks, including a simple PSA blood sample to detect any prostrate abnormalities early.
Once again thank you to everyone who has helped either through Give a Little, accomodation and travel costs, ready to eat dinners moral support or simply hugs. Thanks. Fiona. Michael and Nikki Xx
