Assisting Simon's fight for justice after having his daughter unlawfully removed from him and her country of residence (New Zealand).
International
The situation no parent expects themselves to be in.
A daughter, a NZ citizen by birth, unlawfully removed from New Zealand and officially acknowledged as such by the Danish court system. No support from the New Zealand government. Grossly imbalanced legal representation in a foreign land, in a foreign language, half a world away. Hostile and apparently unqualified psychological reports incorrectly biased in their opinions. Sky high legal and travel costs associated with short order court appearances. Battling a Danish judicial system that flies in the face of international conventions as laid down by the Hague with regard to child kidnapping and custody battles.
You will find Simon's plight has been well documented over the last few years both by the New Zealand and Danish press. It is a story that pulls at the heart strings of all who hear it. Those who know Simon cannot bear to see him and his family continue their plight while we sit on the sidelines, hands tied.
Now, thanks to Give a Little we can at least assist Simon in one aspect of the struggle, the financial aspect.

I am one of Simon's many friends and supporters here in Denmark. There are so many supporters over Europe and in New Zealand, both kiwi and Danish who are constantly bewildered how such a situation as Simon's can come to pass. It grieves me to see a person do everything so correctly, so fairly and yet get treated so very poorly by the authorities that apparently exist to deliver justice. This is how we can help.
