Support Our Rangatahi Filmmakers to work with Youth in the South Pacific!

  • FIVE DAYS TO GO!

      23 August 2017

    Kia ora koutou,

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far - we're currently sitting on $3545 from 46 amazing donors. THANK YOU.

With 5 days left of our campaign, we still have just under halfway to go - we need to raise $2,755. Between all of our rangatahi, that's only $196.79 each.

The thing is, unless we hit our target, we won't receive any of the money donated. So please, if you know someone who you think may want to support our kaupapa - share this page.

I've attached below another incredible film from one of our rangatahi as an example of what they can create.

Thank you once again for supporting us.

    Ngā mihi nui,

Maddy and all of the Through Our Lens Rangatahi

  • 1 day down - $1,000 raised

      10 August 2017

    Kia ora koutou,

Our Givealittle has been live for less than a day and we've already raised $1,000 thanks to 18 generous donors.

Yesterday we received quotes for our flights to each nation and the total cost came out around $30,000. This project isn't cheap, so every dollar donated is hugely appreciated.

Our young filmmakers are incredible - they have blown us away with their storytelling skills, so to share some of that with you I've included a link to Awa Puna and Nikau Wi Neera's film, Black Dog above.

Black Dog won the top prize last year at the Roxy 5 which meant that they got to remake the film with professionals at Park Road Post.

We still have $5240 to raise to reach our target and beyond that additional funds raised will go towards the purchase of 2 laptops, with editing software on them for us to take away with us and to offset the huge cost of travel.

If you know anyone who you think might be interested in supporting our kaupapa - please share our page with them.

Thank you again for all of your support!

    Ngā mihi nui,

Maddy (Māoriland Rangatahi Co-ordinator) and the TOL rangatahi
