The PlaceMakers Fight for Sumner is a charity boxing and the proceeds will be shared amongst 10 Sumner clubs/school/charities and Sumner Tennis and Squash is one of these clubs. We've raised over $1m but need another $500,000 to rebuild our squash courts and club house.
The Sumner squash courts and club house were severely damaged in the Canterbury earthquakes. We're building an indoor sports facility in Sumner with movable walls not only for squash but also other community sport programmes. We can see the benefits of building a facility for Sumner which has lost so many community assets in the Canterbury earthquakes. Our tennis and squash courts and club house were damaged in the Canterbury earthquakes. We've repaired our tennis courts and are now working hard to repair our squash courts and club house.
