Help support our family through surgery recovery
Napier, Hawke's Bay
Almost 3 years ago I had an emergency C-section with my son and just over a year later I was admitted to hospital and had an emergency surgery. During this surgery I was diagnosed with severe endometriosis and adhesions from my C-section that had pulled my uterus underneath my bladder, and also starting to attach to other organs. Fast forward 9 months after a very hard pregnancy, including numerous hospital admissions, I had an elective C-section where I was informed I still had a lot of scarring and damage from my first.
Again almost a year later, I am scheduled in for another surgery where we will be investigating further C-section complications and also having an endometriosis removal.
Having this surgery has been a very hard decision as a recovery involving not being able to hold my kids, means needing a lot of family support. But after 2 hospital admissions in 3 months due to this effecting my everyday life, we are hoping the relief at the end will outweigh a hard recovery.
Unfortunately in NZ there is not a lot of support for C-section mums and already we have spent hundreds if not thousands on trying to help my recovery without this operation.
As most mums know, there is no paycheck at the end of the week, there are no paid sick days, there is no annual leave, so having 3 weeks - maybe longer - in bed, is quite a financial strain on any family.
Everyday bills - groceries, power, rent etc
Thank you so much. This really doesn’t go unnoticed to our family and is so much more than we could have asked for ❤️
Thank you Ally ❤️❤️
Love you ❤️
