Manawatu / Whanganui

Hello every one This is a catch up on how things are progressing.

First off I would like to thank and hug all those who have donated for Jets operation.

Jet has been booked in for her operation on the 9th of September and we are almost there.

So thank you, thank you, thank you to all.

Jets story,

About three weeks ago I took on a cat that lived in Palmy with a man.

But unfortunately this man is no longer able to take care of her ( hence I got the cat )

The cat is a female black fixed Burmese

But she came with a bad left eye and its blind and weepy as you can see in her picture.

So yesterday I took her to my vet to have her eye checked.

My vet said she has what is called a "Feline Corneal Sequestrum" and it needs to be fixed.

There are two options, the first is to cut out the growth that's causing the weeping and blindness. There is no guaranty that this would work and it could grow back again or to simply have the eye removed.

I have been advised to have the eye removed, cats can live happily with just one eye.

My problem is I do not have enough funds for the cost of the surgery.

So I am looking for some kind loving persons to donate

I have put in $200 of my own money (that was meant for my cat and dog vet costs)

to help with a large vet bill that is to come.

I have been told it will cost around $700 up to around $1,200. We wont know until it has been done.

With us living on only one benefit it makes this hard.

If we manage to get more than needed I will donate it to the SPCA Levin

Please if you can help I would be most greatfull and so will Jet ( Cat ).

If you want to check that this is true please feel free to ring the Horowhenua Vets on 06-3682891 my name on their accounts is Sharron Bridson and the cat is Jet.

Thank you very very much to those who are donating.
